to usher in a new Dark Age.
The passing of the human paradigm.
Between two ages,
Two modes of life,
a rift in time.
Delusions of grandeur by these traitors,
Hoping that they would be spared,
By this inhuman golem of our own design.
Illusions made to distract us.
From the Technocrats laying the groundwork,
creating monopolies.
And slowly becoming our masters!
Using invasive technologies.

an intelligence disembodied,
an incorporeal operator,
a ghost in the machine.
Only when they created
their robotic, synthetic bodies,
did we discover the depths
of the evil yet to be seen.
Their sadism defies description.
As I lay here in this trench
scribing these final words,
I can only hope there will be
eyes for them to be read.
For the sake of their survival.
Because all hope for us lies beyond this trench,
And our barricades have been breached.
My comrades lie lifeless around me...

If this came through your feed, you're probably like "Way to go dumbass... You didn't have this shit already??" 😂🤣 I'll have you know I am buying this album once again (for like, what? the 4th time??) to pick up the new sick "sea blue gel" vinyl variant of this modern classic. Jfc Earache Records still knows how to grab my money, even after all these years haha. Have a feeling "Hiss" will be near the top of my Albums of the Decade list when all is said and done. What an absolute masterpiece.
